Miss De Luxe
 

I have always been intrigued by the world of pageants. We are usually presented with beautiful, picture perfect images of flawless women, but I wanted to see the human side of a pageant.

The ladies of Miss De Luxe, a pageant in Belgium celebrating women with wonderful personalities up to 55 years old, kindly let me follow them around during their transformation to becoming a "Miss". 

​

This pageant in particular tries to shy away from the classic focus on superficial beauty, which drew me in even more.

A work in progress, as the ladies are still working hard towards the grand finale in December 2022.
